Hi, I’m Jai (pronounced like the letter J). Im Located in Los Angeles and I specialize in luxury protective faux loc installs designed to protect your natural hair including your edges. My work focuses on healthy hair practices and textured installs that naturally resemble real locs as they age. My goal is for every client to leave with a style that feels effortless, protective, and uniquely their own.

Texture matters more than people think when it comes to faux locs. When I create my locs, the goal isn’t just the style..it’s the feel and the way they age over time. Think Lisa Bonet… her locs aren’t overly polished or shiny. They have that soft, shaggy, slightly frizzy texture that comes naturally from her hair type and that’s exactly what makes them look so real and lived in.

That’s the look I aim to recreate with temporary locs.

I intentionally avoid anything too sleek or overly shiny because that “perfect” finish can read as unnatural. Real locs evolve. They soften, they frizz, they gain character and that’s the beauty of them.

So when your locs start to get a little fluffy or textured over time, just know… that’s not a flaw, that’s the goal.
It’s all about creating a look that grows into itself and feels as natural as possible from start to finish.
